Northville Now

Northville, MI Community

Maybury Farm has become a beloved destination for families seeking seasonal entertainment, educational experiences, and outdoor fun throughout the year. The farm’s carefully planned event calendar provides visitors a chance to connect with nature, learn about agriculture, and create lasting memories throughout all four seasons. From autumn adventures to winter celebrations and spring awakenings, Maybury Farm maintains a lively schedule of activities that reflect the change in farm life.

A-Maze-ing Fall Adventures at Maybury Farm

As the cool autumn air settles over Northville, Maybury Farm transforms into a fall spectacle with its signature Corn Maze running from September through early November. This 10-acre agricultural attraction features a new design annually, complete with an engaging scavenger hunt that challenges visitors as they navigate through the towering corn stalks. For families with younger children, a smaller 1-acre mini-maze offers a less time-intensive option while still delivering the full farm experience. The adventure begins with a tractor-drawn wagon ride to the maze fields, enhancing the authentic farm atmosphere that visitors cherish.

The Great Fall Festival: October’s Biggest Celebration

The seasonal excitement peaks during the Great Fall Festival in October, recognized as the farm’s most popular event of the year. This single-day celebration brings the community together with live bluegrass music, a variety of engaging activities, and festive food options from local vendors. Festival-goers can participate in traditional games like giant ring toss and pumpkin feeding, enjoy crafts such as spider web making and pumpkin decoration, or simply soak in the autumn ambiance with warm cider while watching live entertainment. The festival experience captures the essence of fall while showcasing the farm’s commitment to creating memorable family experiences.

Holiday Fun & Santa Visits in December

As winter’s chill embraces the farm, Maybury continues to welcome visitors with heartwarming holiday events throughout December. The Holiday Fun & Santa Visits weekends turn the century-old barn into a festive wonderland where families can meet Santa in his antique sleigh, drop letters in the North Pole Mailbox, and enjoy seasonal crafts amid holiday decorations. These intimate gatherings offer a more peaceful alternative to hectic mall Santa experiences, allowing children to connect with the holiday spirit in a charming farm setting while parents capture precious photos.

Winter Love and Maple Syrup Traditions

February brings love to the farm with a special Valentine’s Day Celebration where visitors can show appreciation for the animals, particularly the expectant mother goats. As winter begins to wane in March, the educational aspect of farm life takes center stage with the Making Maple Syrup Tours. These weekend expeditions take visitors through the entire syrup-making process – from tapping sugar maple trees in the forest to watching the sap transform into sweet syrup in the Sugar Shack. Each tour culminates with a delicious sample of the finished product, connecting participants to this agricultural tradition while providing insights into sustainable farming practices.
