Northville Now

Northville, MI Community

Craving a sandwich that’s more than just bread and meat? On Northville’s Main Street, The Little Salumi turns lunch into an experience—think bold paninis, Instagram-ready charcuterie, and a side of local charm. Located at 137 East Main Street, this cozy shop is the brainchild of Jessica—a woman who knows her way around a good sandwich and an even better red lipstick.

Sandwiches That Mean Business

Let’s talk paninis, shall we? At The Little Salumi, these aren’t your average pressed sandwiches. Each one is crafted with care, bold flavors, and a little bit of Jessica’s culinary magic.

  • The Muffaletta ($13): A New Orleans classic gets a makeover with hot capicola, mortadella, salami, provolone cheese, and Jessica’s house-made olive salad. It’s hearty, zesty, and unapologetically satisfying.
  • Caprese Classic ($12): Think of this as the love child of a Caprese salad and a panini. Buffalo mozzarella, arugula, tomato, basil pesto, and balsamic reduction come together in perfect harmony. Feeling fancy? Add prosciutto for $3.
  • Better Than Sierra ($12): Thinly sliced smoked turkey cozies up with red onion, field greens, and a house-made adobo chili mayo for a sandwich that lives up to its name.
  • The Figgy ($12): Sweet meets savory with fig jam, prosciutto, and brie. It’s like a charcuterie board in sandwich form.

And if you’re feeling nostalgic? The Grown-Up Grilled Cheese ($9) combines provolone, jack, and muenster cheeses for a gooey masterpiece that takes you right back to childhood—minus the crust cutting.

More Than Just Paninis

Sure, sandwiches are the star of the show here, but The Little Salumi isn’t stopping there. Their menu also includes fresh salads like The Med ($13)—a mix of greens topped with tuna, capers, tomatoes, red onion, olive oil, and vinegar—or the classic Caprese Salad ($12) with mozzarella and balsamic drizzle.

For those on the go (or just looking for an excuse to snack), check out their grab-and-go sides:

  • Buffalo Chicken Dip ($7): Spicy shredded chicken goodness.
  • Pimento Cheese Dip ($7): A creamy Southern staple done right.
  • Old School French Onion Dip ($6): Just like Grandma used to make—if Grandma had a knack for perfect seasoning.

Pair these with a bag of Dirty Brand Chips (flavors like Jalapeño Heat or Mesquite BBQ) for the ultimate sidekick to your meal.

Charcuterie Goals

If you’re hosting friends or just treating yourself (because why not?), The Little Salumi has you covered with made-to-order charcuterie boards. Whether you’re into savory meats or creamy cheeses—or both—they’ll whip up something Instagram-worthy that tastes even better than it looks.

Drinks That Spark Joy

What pairs better with great food than great drinks? The Little Salumi offers an impressive selection of beer, wine, and bubbles. Whether you’re grabbing a bottle for dinner at home or sipping while you wait for your order (yes, that’s allowed), there’s something here to suit every palate.

A Schedule You Can Work With

Hungry yet? Here are their hours so you can plan your visit:

  • Monday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday–Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Whether it’s lunch on your work break or an early dinner before heading home, The Little Salumi is ready when you are.

Jessica’s Story Adds Flavor

Behind every great sandwich is an even better story. Jessica grew up in Northville at her family’s bar—and her love for food and service started young. After years of traveling (Denver! Paris! New York!), she returned to her roots armed with recipes and inspiration from around the world. Her motto? “Do ten things perfectly.” And judging by her menu, she’s nailing it.

Jessica opened The Little Salumi on New Year’s Eve in 2021 after months of hard work—and it shows. From the thoughtful menu to the warm atmosphere inside the shop (and yes, her signature red lip), every detail feels personal.

Stop By for Good Food and Better Conversation

At The Little Salumi, it’s not just about grabbing lunch—it’s about enjoying every bite while soaking up some local charm. Whether you’re craving a panini that hits all the right notes or need a quick charcuterie fix for your next gathering, this spot delivers every time. So swing by 137 East Main Street in downtown Northville—you’ll leave full and maybe even smiling.
